Tire Installation Policy
Introduction
At Cycle Clinic, your safety is our top priority. When it comes to tires — one of the most critical components on any motorcycle, ATV, or powersport vehicle — we don’t take shortcuts. That’s why we’ve created a clear, no-exceptions tire installation policy to protect our customers and ensure the highest quality service.
Let’s walk you through what our policy includes, why we do it, and what it means for you and your machine.
Our Tire Installation Policy
To provide the safest and most reliable service, Cycle Clinic has adopted the following policies regarding tire installation:
No Installation of Customer-Supplied Tires
We do not install tires that were not purchased directly from Cycle Clinic. This includes tires bought online, from other retailers, or second-hand sources.
Why? Because we can’t verify the condition, storage history, age, or authenticity of third-party tires. If something goes wrong — a blowout, separation, or defect — we could be held liable, even though we didn’t supply the tire.
No Installation of Used Tires
We also do not install used tires under any circumstances.
Even if they look fine, used tires come with unknowns:
Were they stored properly?
Have they been repaired or patched?
Is the sidewall damaged internally?
Used tires pose serious safety risks, and we don’t gamble with your safety or our shop’s reputation.
Mandatory Tube Replacement With Every Tire Change (When Applicable)
If your powersport vehicle uses tube-type tires, we require that a new tube be installed every time we replace the tire.
Why?
Tubes degrade over time just like tires
Reusing an old tube increases the risk of sudden failure
This policy ensures optimal performance and peace of mind every time you ride.
Why These Policies Matter
Some customers ask why we’re so strict — and it’s a good question. These policies aren’t about forcing sales; they’re about accountability, safety, and doing the job right.
Safety and Performance
Tires are your first and last contact with the road or trail. One faulty install or old rubber can lead to loss of control, poor handling, or worse — an accident.
By sticking to parts we trust and install ourselves, we ensure every ride is as safe as possible.
Liability and Warranty Protection
We stand behind our work, but we can’t do that if the tire isn’t one we supplied.
Installing outside or used tires opens the door to:
Warranty disputes
Liability claims
Customer dissatisfaction
To avoid that, we only install new, high-quality tires sourced through verified suppliers.
The Risks of Used or Third-Party Tires
Age and Storage Conditions
Tires degrade with time — not just use. UV rays, ozone exposure, and temperature swings all break down rubber. A tire that’s been sitting in a garage or warehouse for years could look brand new and still be unsafe.
Hidden Damage and Wear
Even if a tire looks okay on the surface, it could have unseen internal damage. Sidewall stress, dry rot, or previous patches are hard to detect — but could lead to catastrophic failure at speed.
Our Commitment to Quality
At Cycle Clinic, we’re not just selling tires — we’re delivering confidence on every ride.
OEM and Trusted Brands Only
We only carry tires from trusted manufacturers like:
Michelin
Dunlop
Pirelli
Bridgestone
Continental
These brands are known for durability, performance, and reliability.
Professional Mounting and Balancing
Every tire installed at Cycle Clinic is:
Professionally mounted
Balanced to spec
Inspected for defects
Paired with a new valve stem or tube (when applicable)
You get a smooth ride and full confidence in your machine’s grip and handling.
FAQs
Q1: Can I sign a waiver if I want to bring my own tires?
No. Waivers don’t protect us legally or ensure your safety. We strictly do not install outside or used tires.
Q2: What if I bought a tire but never used it?
Even unused tires can degrade if not stored properly. If it wasn’t purchased through us, we can’t verify its condition and won’t install it.
Q3: Do you price match tires?
Yes! We match FortNine prices, which actually ends up cheaper in the end, because we guarantee our tires are new and stored properly.
Q4: Why do you replace tubes even if mine looks fine?
Tubes wear out internally and can fail unexpectedly. Installing a new tire without a new tube increases the risk of a flat or blowout.
Q5: Can I bring in wheels off the bike for tire service?
Absolutely! As long as the tire is new and purchased from us, we’ll happily install it on your loose wheels.
Conclusion
At Cycle Clinic, we put your safety and satisfaction first. That’s why we only install new tires purchased directly from us, we never install used tires, and we replace tubes with every tire change when required.
These policies help us deliver the highest standard of service and safety — because when it comes to your ride, there’s no room for shortcuts.
